Abbas addresses UN by video after U.S. visa denial
The United States denied visas to Mahmoud Abbas and other Palestinian officials for a second consecutive year, preventing them from attending the General Assembly in person. In a prerecorded address from Ramallah, Abbas condemned Israel’s conduct in Gaza and the occupied territories and called for Gaza and the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, to be reunified under Palestinian rule.
