Trump bars CNN, MS NOW and Politico from White House access
Donald Trump announced on September 18 that CNN, MS NOW and Politico would be barred from the White House, accusing them of spreading what he called fake news. The outlets said their press credentials were revoked and challenged the action in court; the administration defended its authority to control White House access, while Justice Department lawyers invoked national security.
