Iran proposes seven-day plan to reopen Strait of Hormuz and restart talks
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said Iran had sent the United States a seven-day proposal through intermediaries to end hostilities, reopen the Strait of Hormuz and restart negotiations, including on Iran’s nuclear program. The proposal was conditional; the United States has demanded nuclear safeguards, while Iranian officials say Iran must be allowed a civilian nuclear program.
