News organizations and press freedom groups challenge outlet bans in court
The White House Correspondents’ Association and nearly 50 news organizations filed a court brief calling for bans on CNN, MS NOW and Politico to be reversed. A coalition of press freedom groups argued that removing journalists’ rights because of their perceived editorial views violates Supreme Court precedent.
