Russian missile and drone attacks hit Kyiv and other parts of Ukraine
Overnight on September 23–24, Russian forces launched ballistic missiles and drones at Kyiv and other parts of Ukraine while President Volodymyr Zelensky was meeting with members of the U.S. Congress. Two people were killed and eight injured in Kyiv; the strikes damaged homes, a maternity hospital, businesses and other infrastructure, while Russia said it had targeted facilities and vessels linked to Ukraine’s military.

An earlier update reported six injured.
Two people were killed and six injured in a Russian ballistic strike on Kyiv on the night of 23-24 September.
As reported by Ukrinform, at that time two people had been killed and six injured in Kyiv as a result of the missile attack.
Later reports gave a total of eight injured.
In the morning, emergency services reported that the number of people injured in the ballistic missile strike on Kyiv overnight had risen to eight.
