Yemeni government forces said they pushed back Houthi fighters after overnight attacks near the Hayjat al-Abd road, a key route linking Taiz and Aden. The road is also described as the only route for residents in the area to travel abroad, since commercial flights do not operate from Houthi-controlled areas.
